New Name, Bozeman’s Same Great Garden Center
Many Bozemanites remember waiting impatiently for the Gallatin Valley Garden Center banner to go up in the parking lot across from Albertson’s on Huffine every Spring. At first, in 2003 you could get mostly Visser Greenhouse’s Bedding Plants, but the owners slowly added a variety of other perennial plants, shrubs, trees & succulents.
Eventually Travis, the owner, was able to set up shop permanently at the corner of Huffine and Cobb Hill Road-think big new yellow building next to the small yellow barn.
A few years have passed since the move & Bozeman’s little garden center is still growing! Travis decided to rename the store, which is now Phoenix Garden Center! This is a reference to the many turning seasons both he and the business have come through, and a declaration to the many cycles to come. We all go through burning seasons, and we all have the opportunity to be born again and rise from the ash.
The name change was made in March of 2025, but the owners & same bright spirit remain the same. Be sure to visit us at the new location: 1770 Cobb Hill Road in Bozeman!
Now open year round!
